Your workspace, explained.

This page describes how this DataX website currently works. The public pages can be browsed without an account. DataX accounts use an email address and password; ChatGPT sign-in is not required.

Account data

When you create an account, DataX stores your name, sign-in email, a salted password hash, a hash of your recovery key, your selected plan, and account timestamps in its hosted database. Passwords and recovery keys are not stored in readable form. A private session cookie keeps you signed in for up to seven days. Server-side session records store a hash of the session token. Email is currently used as your sign-in ID; email verification, marketing emails, and email password recovery are not enabled.

Your saved workspace

Strategies, watchlists, and alert rules created in your account workspace are saved in the hosted database and associated with your account. These records are available when you sign in on another device. Each account can access its own records. You can edit or delete individual strategies and alert rules, adjust your watchlist, change your display name and password, choose a plan preference, and sign out. Strategy export creates a file on your device.

Plans and payments

Choosing a plan while checkout is unavailable saves a preference only. When checkout is enabled, you can purchase a monthly workspace membership through Stripe. Paid access is granted after server-side payment verification. DataX never stores card details. Live trading, AI agent execution, and alert notifications are not enabled by a subscription.

Demo and browser storage

The public demo and legacy Strategy Studio use browser storage for local drafts and preferences. They are separate from your account. Clear this site’s browser data to remove locally saved demo content. Account records remain in the hosted database when browser storage is cleared. API connection settings save the address and refresh preference locally; an external API access token remains only in memory for the current tab.

Market charts and DataX updates

AUD/USD and memecoin prices and history come from Yahoo Finance through DataX’s server. Charts are drawn by DataX; no third-party chart scripts or iframes are loaded. Quotes may be delayed and are cached for up to one minute. DataX does not send your account details or saved strategies to Yahoo. Opening an external Yahoo link visits their website, subject to Yahoo’s privacy policy. Other sample market and agent data remains illustrative unless you connect your own API.

DataX team announcements and your read status are saved in hosted storage. Announcements are visible to signed-in members; read status belongs to your account. Authorized publishers can post and remove announcements. No email or browser push notifications are sent by this inbox.

Grok desk conversations

When you choose Send to Grok desk, DataX sends your message, market, timeframe and a random request ID to the site owner’s configured Grok Bot routine. DataX does not include your email, account password, session or payment details in that request. Your question or strategy snapshot and returned answer are saved in your private DataX account. The desk is an external service; its own data policies apply. Replies are analysis and do not execute trades. The connection remains unavailable until the owner configures it.

External API connections

If you explicitly connect an external API, requests and any changes made in that connected workspace are sent to that service. Its provider controls the data it receives. Your DataX account password is not sent to the external API. Keep provider master keys and brokerage credentials on your server.

Hosting and protection

DataX runs on the Sites hosting platform with Cloudflare storage and server infrastructure. These services may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website. Authentication attempts are rate-limited using hashed identifiers and short-lived counters. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives ordinary network request information. DataX does not include advertising or analytics scripts.

Recovery

Your recovery key can reset your password. Keep it private and save it securely. A new recovery key invalidates the old one. Resetting or changing your password signs out other sessions. Email recovery is not available, so losing both your password and recovery key can prevent you from regaining access.
